The Lord's Return

In response to the disciples' question about when the Temple would be destroyed and the Lord would return, Jesus answers both by encouraging preparedness rather than predictions. The destruction of the Temple would be proceeded by events the Lord foretold and Matthew witnessed. As to His return, the Lord gave them an example from scripture, four illustrations from life, two parables, and a glimpse into the final judgment to underscore the imperative of persistent, faithful, preparedness in anticipation of His soon return.
