_{Derek and Sheila Gentle served the body of FBC Tallassee diligently, graciously, and faithfully for 24 years. In October of 2022 the church placed on Bro. Derek the distinction of pastor emeritus. On this same occasion, and with a desire to exalt Jesus Christ and honor both He and Sheila's faithful service; the church affirmed to name the newly established school of ministry in their honor. We are committed to raising a new generation of leaders who will serve faithfully, humbly, and skillfully as was modeled during the tenure of Bro. Derek and Sheila Gentle.}
