Because we have been born again to a living hope and an eternal inheritance, our lives should radiate gratitude and obedience to God Who gave us that new birth. We are to set our minds on Christ, setting aside the sins of the past; pursue holiness; live in reverential awe of God’s mercy and justice; remember that we were ransomed from bondage to sin, death, and hell with the precious blood of Christ; love one another earnestly from a pure heart; because we’ve been born again.
