From Hearers to Doers: Letting God’s Word Transform Our Lives

A true follower of Jesus Christ is quick to hear God's Word; is slow to respond with resentment when confronted by the truth; puts away sin rather than making excuses for it; receives God's Word with humility and allows it to transform his or her heart; becomes a doer of the Word rather than just a hearer; looks intently into God's Word and perseveres in it; lives in the freedom Christ provides through obedience; controls his or her tongue; cares for those in need; and keeps himself or herself unstained by the world.
