The Second Advent (Advent Week 5)

As Jesus and His disciples walked through the Temple one day, He shocked them by telling them that their beautiful Temple would be destroyed. They asked when it would happen, but, in His answer, Jesus told them to be ready when it happens. Peter told his readers the same thing, but went on to explain how they should be ready. After addressing the claims of scoffers that Christ was not returning, he asked them to consider how they should live their daily lives in all holiness and godliness, telling them "to be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace."
