From Blindness to Sight

When the man returned from washing his eyes in the pool of Siloam and was now able to see, the Pharisees questioned him repeatedly, trying to get him either to recant the story of how he was healed or get him to agree with them that Jesus was a sinner since He had healed the man on a Sabbath. The man's plain testimony, however, trumped their best efforts to persuade him with their logic, influence, and hostile threats: "One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see." Jesus' message to the people was that He came to give sight to those who recognize and repent of their spiritual blindness, but, for those whose pride will not allow them to admit they are blind, their blindness will only increase.
