The Hour Has Come

Following His dramatic reception into Jerusalem, some Gentiles ask permission to see Jesus. Seemingly inspired by their request, Jesus announces that the moment for Him to be glorified has come. In His final message to the people, He offers three illustrations from nature and human life to explain what is about to happen. As He struggles with the decision to follow through with God's plan, He tells the people of His resolve to do so, for that was the reason for His coming. God responds from heaven, affirming His Son so that the people would know He is the Messiah. Jesus concludes His final, public message by calling the people to walk in the light and believe the light, thus proving themselves to be children of light.
