Jeremiah's first call to repentance (6-11-23)

the people of Israel had once been the loving followers of the Lord but had forsaken the Him and defiled the land He had given them. Those entrusted with the security and spiritual health of the nation had led the people in this apostasy, a rejection of God that was unparalleled in human history. Israel's two sins were that they had forsaken the Lord and had pursued idols that could do nothing for them because they were not gods.
