The Lord corrects the misunderstanding of the proverb about parents eating sour grapes by saying that the person who sins bears responsibility for his or her actions, and He promises a new covenant, His law written on the hearts of those who trust Him, the ability to know and do the will of God, and the assurance of the complete forgiveness of sin.
