The Messiah as the Servant of the Lord (12-17-23)

As the Israelites bear the Lord’s chastisement through their exile in Babylon, the Lord promises to call, commission, and send a Servant Who will accomplish everything necessary to satisfy the righteous requirement for the penalty of sin to be paid. In spite of all the obstacles, this Servant will establish justice and bring peace between us and God. As a confirmation of this promise, they need only reflect on the absolute sovereignty of God and how Isaiah’s previous prophecies have been fulfilled.  .
