Jesus' Crucifixion and Death (5/14/23)

After Pilate had approved of Jesus' crucifixion, the Lord was taken to the Place of the Skull where His hands and feet were nailed to a cross. The soldiers who carried out the execution cast lots for His clothes, and Jesus entrusted the care of His mother, Mary, to John who later took her into his home. Finally, Jesus cried out "It is finished"--declaring that everything written about Him by way of prophecy had been accomplished—and gave up His Spirit.
