Jesus' Arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane (4-30-23)
Apr 30, 2023 • Dr. Jim Glass
After Jesus prayed for Himself, His disciples, and for all believers, He and His disciples went through the Kidron Valley to the Garden of Gethsemane. While Jesus was praying, Judas, accompanied by soldiers and members of the Temple guard, arrived to arrest Him. When He asked for whom they had come and Jesus admitted that He was the One they sought, those who had come to arrest Him fell backward. Peter, in a desperate attempt to protect Jesus, struck a servant of the high priest, but Jesus stopped any further fighting by allowing Himself to be taken.
